Raffaella Crispino uses different expressive forms, such as video art, drawing, performance and photography.
Crispino gets inspiration from locations and people she meets in her trips. Indeed, the travel, considered as actually experienced life, is the subject which associates all her works, like a conductor thread.
The artist uses social-anthropological pictures and words: she gains material from reality, she shoots real situations and common people, but her view doesn’t affect her artwork.
Anonymity and individualism in big cities, immigration, respect for diversity and religion are matters Crispino encourages to think about. Another important topic, which is particularly special to the artist, is the Palestinian issue, dealt within the Transit3 project, which was exhibited at MADRE (Naples) and at CCA Center for Contemporary Art in Tel Aviv (2009).
