Jamie Shovlin is a conceptual artist. His work consists in setting up fake but plausible situations, in a prank between reality and illusion. He uses all his technical skills – drawing, painting, writing, printing – matched with intellectual irony.
His creations examine the power of communication medias and the way they influence social development.
Raising several points of view, the artist encourages to call into question senses and intellectual categories, through which one understands and relates to the world, in order to challenge news and concepts considered as authoritative by the masses.
